I have read the comments below, and agree with the opposition to these types of assignments. Bifurcated / Hybrid Appraisals are a fast track to a HUGE housing collapse. Paying a Licensed or Certified Appraiser $500, and waiting a week or two, is mere pennies compared to most sales prices and a blip in time on potentially the biggest purchase of homeowner's lives. If you really want to speed up the process, remove the Appraisal Management Companies, order the appraisal earlier in the loan process, and pay a decent wage to attract new talent and have an incentive for the supervisor to accept trainnies.
