Our country is in a mental health crisis. It is our responsibility to make systemic changes to address this crisis. You have the power to change this reality- it starts at the state level. What is the difference- in terms of clinical practice- between a score of 400 and 500? On an exam that has questionable psychometrics, at best. What is the point in having APA accredited programs, internships, etc. if something as small as missing a handful of questions on a biased exam will STOP practitioners AND prevent the general public from accessing mental health services? Again- it cannot be understated- for an exam that does not have the psychometrics to support the level of power it has.
