Could you imagine the public outrage if these were medical doctors and we were to allow them to operate on people when they have not finished school or have a broad knowledge. Patients are going to die. No one is accountable. People feel like their pets are like their family members and the death of these animals are going to be painful to the surviors. It's mal practice, pure and simple. The fact that there are no requirements to inform the patient's owners is appalling. It's really very dishonest and misleading to the unsuspecting public that trust they are taking the pet to see a qualified vet, when they are just a student, that may or may not even pass their exam. That is misinterpreting a vet to the public. I call foul. It is fraudulant to pose as a vet when you are not one and to pass a law saying it's okay is just wrong.
