Action Summary |
This regulation needs to be repealed because it is in conflict with the Code of Virginia. The Code of Virginia, § 42.1-82, vests the Library of Virginia with the authority to set the retention and disposition schedules for public records. The Library of Virginia has developed a retention schedule specific to the maintenance of records in Virginia’s public schools. Therefore, the Board of Education no longer has the authority to set this schedule. |
