Notice of Periodic Review
Pursuant to Executive Order Number 25 (98), the Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled the regulation listed below for review. VDOT will conduct this review to determine whether the regulation should be terminated, amended, or retained as written. If any changes are deemed necessary, VDOT will file the appropriate documentation as required to comply with applicable statute or other directives.
VDOT seeks public comment regarding the following question:
Does the regulation meet the following goals?
1. To ensure that informational signs are posted alongside highways to communicate traveler information to motorists fairly and safety.
2. To protect the public's health, safety, and welfare with the least possible cost and intrusiveness to the citizens and businesses of the Commonwealth.
3. Is the regulation written clearly and understandably?
Regulation Title: Guidelines for the Logo Program
Subject: This regulation establishes the criteria set by the Commonwealth Transportation Board by which gas, food, lodging, and camping establishments may qualify for participation in VDOT's travel services program, also known as the "Logo Program."
