No child should be made to feel that who they are is wrong or forced into compliance with whatever gender identity adults around them want to push onto them. If a child feels different about their identity on the inside, they deserve support and LOVE from those around them. Trans rights are human rights! Everyone deserves the right to express themselves, and giving kids a safe space to be themselves should be a priority in schools. If understanding the perspective of trans kids/individuals of all ages is something you struggle with, I encourage you to put yourself in someone else's shoes and read books written by trans people to widen your perspective. No one is asking you to change your own personal beliefs about what is right for you and your path, but giving children the choice to decide what they want to be shouldn't be something that's up for debate.
