This is a very dangerous policy!! Most people who oppose this bill care for and have empathy for transgender students; however, letting ANYONE go into the bathroom or locker room they choose puts our most vulnerable population at risk! Please reconsider other options to accommodate transgender students like allowing them to use private bathrooms such as the nurse’s bathrooms.
We cannot fully accommodate the concerns/wishes of transgender students without then making MANY more students feel the same uncomfortableness and insecurity that the transgender first felt in the bathroom that matched their biological sex. It does not make any sort of logical sense!
Please protect and consider ALL students’ concerns, as they are all legitimate and worthy of addressing and protecting!
