Make the standard permanent because COVID 19 will be with us into 2021. We must stop the spread of this virus as this is the only way that we can return to normal and that our economy can recover. Due to the stealthy contagiousness of COVID 19, strict workplace guidelines are needed to protect employees on the job. When workers contract the virus on the job they bring it home to their families and they can spread it unknowingly to others. A friend of mine recently contracted the virus from a caregiver to an elderly parent in their home. The patient died and four family members became ill.  Had this standard been in place and enforced, this family could have been spared from this nightmare. I see construction workers all the time working in close proximity to each other without masks. COVID will not end on Dec 31st and neither should protections for workers; the health of all those they come in contact with is at stake!
