This will make our system of voting the laughingstock of the world

I cannot believe anyone proposed this.  Is it amateur hour in Richmond?  Where are the adults in the Assembly?  This type of standard and rule elimination is what tyrant regimes do in other places around the world.  No western nation that values itself as respectable democracy would consider removing a check on fraud.  Yet, Virginia does.

There is value in standards and norms and expectations.  They work for all sides, protect all sides, and make our voting system the envy of the world.  Having standards for the ballots actually enables and encourages individual voices to be heard.  Eliminating the standards and rules enables fraudsters and mass-voting production warehouses to be heard.  In no other walk of life is it acceptable to lower the standards (lower the bar) to make something work.  You increase the performance to meet the standards.  Why would you even consider lowering the bar for the most sacred aspect of our democracy!!?

You can request a ballot now - PLENTY of time to receive and return a ballot prior to the election.Standards and expectations in voting are there for a reason.

Help others meet the standards.  Please do not lower the standards!  This proposal should be dismissed.
