NO! Do not allow ANY vote to be counted after Election Day for any reason!

Our voting system requires integrity. Voting day has been established as November 3. All votes must be cast and ready to be counted by that date. Doing otherwise will allow the losing candidate to see how many votes may be required to overcome the lead that the winning candidate has and then simply "find" sufficient ballots to overcome that lead. How many times have Republicans won an election on election night only to have that victory overturned by the post-election day "finding" of ballots for the candidate on the other side? These ballots will be "found" when partisan actors ensure that postmarks are made illegible even when they are not. This is an obviously partisan rule that is not consistent with the intent of the legislation. The proposed regulation should not be permitted to stand as it will indeed undermine our democracy.
