I also request a hearing on the issue of allowing the open carry of handguns in 
State Forests.  Not only would it bring the Commonwealth into compliance with the 
formal opinion (08-043) published in September 2008 by the Virginia Attorney 
General, but it removes the potential for citizens to erroneously, but innocently, 
confuse the two, and carry in a manner not in compliance with existing regulations.
