As a 30-year veteran of municipal  government work, I cannot emphasize how important it is to have licensed landscape architects to lead park & recreation site design & construction projects. Architects & engineers are not trained in plant selection & planting specifications,  green infrastructure, park and open space analysis and design, and park master planning. The landscape architecture profession fills a very important niche in public sector work for the planning and development of public parks and outdoor spaces. I urge you to maintain licensure.
