Landscape Architecture Licensure is essential

Landscape architects are uniquely positioned to contribute to public health, safety, and welfare. Grading design, stormwater drainage, detailing technical systems, planning complex environments, interpreting data from architects engineers and other allied professionals, and correct applIcation of various regulations are all common tasks and roles for landscape architects. These greatly necessitate minimum levels of competency among practitioners. Competency is formed through both education and experience. For all of these reasons it is essential to maintain licensure for landscape architects in Virginia.
