As landscape architects are responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of the public, I support continuing to require a license for the profession. Allowing unlicensed practitioners to practice landscape architecture opens the risk of amatures engaging in unsafe design practices that could cause harm to life and/or property. Therefore, Virginia should continue to regulate the practice of landscape architecture.
