I am in support of the new regulation, however, in addition, I would ask that a hearing be scheduled to discuss the open carry of firearms in State forests as well.  That would bring Virginia's State Forests into compliance with the formal opinion (08-043) publish in September 2008 by our Virginia Attorney General.
