SUPPORT for Continued Licensure of Landscape Architects

I am writing to express continued support for licensure of Landscape Architects in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Virginia resident and young design professional aspiring to gain licensure, I can assure you that licensure is the most appropriate form of regulation to make sure that the public is adequately protected. The importance of licensure protects the health, safety, and welfare of all Virginia residents. I attended Virginia Tech, an accredited Landscape Architecture program, to gain the knowledge and foundation for working one day as a licensed professional. Having now worked for 5 years in the states of California, Wyoming, and now Virginia, I believe that continuing licensure for Landscape Architects is necessary to maintain the value for our profession.
