Masks are an extremely easy thing to require people to wear to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus. To echo what others have said, though consumers can choose whether or not to go out for in-essential trips to places that have opened up during later phases of re-opening, workers do not have a choice whether or not to work and expose themselves to COVID because their livelihoods depend on it. Though I strongly believe that re-opening is a bad idea for Virginia residents and workers, if we do re-open, the LEAST we could do to protect each other is to require masks to be worn in all businesses and public buildings.
