Virginia is trending in the right direction. Mask orders and social distancing requirements are paying off. We need to continue with the measures that have helped reduce our infection numbers. Additionally, we cannot ask businesses to open back up and require workers to go back to jobs without offering them some protections. For many, it is not an option to “just stay home” if they are uncomfortable or at higher risk. Bills need to be paid and families need to be supported. It seems a reasonable trade-off to open business while requiring citizens to wear masks. Also, it’s just not that difficult. Slightly uncomfortable, but not an unreasonable ask to keep more people healthy.
