I support the VDA position on this issue and urge the regulatory board to exempt dentists from the emergency regulations.  

During the latest Emergency Preparedness and and Response guidance for dental settings webinar from the CDC to dental health care providers dated June 3 2020 it was reported that there were zero cases of patient to dental health care provider transmissions and zero cases of dental healthcare provider to patent transmissions.

• Regular use of PPE for oral examinations and procedures is current standard of care
• Additional documentation and reporting requirements on top of the extensive measures already instituted would be overly burdensome and unnecessary
