Decisions must be based on science and not politics

We must understand that healthcare is good for the whole community and not just the individual.  If it's up to the individual, sometime their choice is forced upon them so that they meet their and their family's own basic needs.  For example when their employer does not provide sick leave, they must go to work sick and risk infecting others they come in contact with, so they can provide food for their family.

Schools must also be safe for students, teachers, and staff.  Science has proven that masks lower the risk of transmission.  Unfortunately, it's not an individual decision.  It's not just based on the individual's right to get sick since they might infect others in the process.  We mandate vaccines to enter school in order to prevent transmission of disease, so until there is a vaccine for COVID, the mask is the vaccine to prevent transmission of this disease.
