Protecting Our Frontline Workers, Employers, and Consumers

Thank you for opening this forum up for public comment. I am writing today to voice my support for providing guidance to employers regarding face coverings. The CDC has for months indicated that face coverings - even made of cloth - can slow the spread of the novel coronavirus and help prevent asymptomatic individuals infected with the virus from unknowingly infecting others. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html

These guidelines are not only to protect potential customers inside of businesses, but also frontline workers. Employees come into contact with each other quite often during the day, especially in service and food supply industries, and ensuring that everyone is wearing a masks will help employees from inadvertently infecting each other.

Please continue to come up with guidance that will allow us to protect our workers, employers, and residents.

Thank you,
