Virginia has done a great job in efforts to flatten the curve. The actions it has taken should continue. These actions should continue to be based in science, math, statistics, and factual information. This issue and policy are regarding health and safety, not emotions. While a lot is known, there is still a lot that is unknown. If the intentional spread of HIV can come with consequences under a Class 6 Felony, will you issue the same policies for the intentional spread of COVID-19? Seatbelts, cell phone use, and other policies have all been met with opposition from people who want to regulate themselves. But it isn't fair to those who lose families, the first response units who have to treat the victims and the ones who were at fault and those who provide ongoing services. The cost of not enforcing the masks is a great one and one that can be avoided.
