As a longtime resident of Virginia and an advocate in my professional life for better wages and work conditions for people--disproportionately women and people of color--working in low-paid jobs, I commend the Health and Safety Codes Board for undertaking this important work. COVID-19 poses unprecedented risks to workers, and people across the commonwealth need emergency health and safety regulations to keep them safe at work. I support the proposed regulations.
