I urge the board to adopt the proposed standard with the elimination of one paragraph, Paragraph G on page 6, which allows employers to ignore this standard if they comply with CDC guidance. CDC publications are only suggestions and this could undermine the whole purpose of this emergency standard. High-risk, essential workers, are often low-income BIPOC. This paragraph would allow and encourage the spread of COVID to the most vulnerable communities. We must protect all Virginians!
