Commenter: Unmask Virginia

The curve has flattened, We need to move on

In the beginning we needed to flatten the curve.  We did and yet more and more is being asked of people wearing masks etc.  Certainly if someone wants to wear a mask they should, but it should not be mandatory for anyone.  By continuing to force the issue with fewer and fewer deaths and with the knowledge that most deaths were in long term care facilities, you lose more and more support.  We need to get on with our lives, because most who get sick do not even need hospitalization.  Adults should be making the decision about masks based on what is best for them and their situation.  One size fits all rarely fit anyone.

There have also been instances were people who have legitimate medical issues have been discriminated against and/or denied service because they could not wear a mask.  Those people should not have to prove they have a medical condition.

As other states are open with much less regulation than VA, it is also easy for many to cross the state border for shopping.  TN, WV and NC I am sure are seeing extra tax dollars from Virginia residents who dont mind a short drive to shop unmasked and without hassles.
