The morbidity and mortality data regarding COVID-19 does not support continued restrictions on personal liberty like the choice to wear a mask or not in public indoor spaces. Government leaders need to base their decisions on the data and current research and treatment protocols, not from fear and a need to make everyone feel safe. We live in a free society and that means we need to live with some risk otherwise we are not free. Our fellow citizens are intelligent enough to make the choice to wear a mask or not without government mandates.
