I support the new regulation, but I am asking for a hearing on allowing for the open carry of handguns State Forests. That would bring State Forests into compliance with a formal opinion(08-043) published in September 2008 by the Virginia Attorney General and in compliance with the State and Federal Constitutions.

The Right of Self-Defense is the most basic of Human Rights, but to truly have any right, one must also have the ability to exercise that right.  Imagine one having the right of free speech but not the right to open their mouth or write down words.
