It is unfortunate that people are not taking this seriously. We come from a family of Doctors, Nurses and other health professionals who have seen firsthand the spread of this virus. I am diabetic and my mother has a pacemaker and congestive heart failure. We have done our best to limit exposure while still trying to make certain our family has what they need. In the past few weeks, I have personally witnessed a major decline in those wearing masks, social distancing and even businesses removing signs that indicate masks are needed. Unfortunately, if you do not make the masks mandatory with some repercussions for those who don’t abide, we will see an increase in cases. I fear for my school age children come fall and our continued safety should regulations relax or folks continue to disregard the measures already put in place.
