I am writing because the mask mandate needs to go. Placing our liberties aside, I am writing as a person who was diagnosed with ptsd stemming from care in a medical setting in which during a portion my face was covered. I cannot wear a mask (and I did try to make 1 attempt) because doing so can easily make me back peddle in all that I’ve accomplished with my symptoms. With the mask mandate I am forced to for go many grocery stores because they don’t allow the unmasked to go in. When I do go into the ones that allow, I get the death glare. The anxiety that gathers in the pit of my stomach each time I need to shop since this mask mandate happened is unreal. Questioning whether or not today I’ll be kicked out of a store or if another patron will yell at me because they see my face uncovered. Not everyone understands that not all medical conditions of people who are unable to wear them are breathing ones!  Enough is enough! If people CHOOSE to wear a mask then wear it! But this mandate has really brought out the ugliness in people and for those who truly cannot wear one it has given us limited grocery availability & high stress! Not everyone has access to instacart or a local grocery pickup! Heck, some of us don’t even have access to high speed Internet yet to be able to do the “other options”! No more mask mandate!!!
