There are no shortcuts with a virus. As we are seeing in so many other states that have chosen to move ahead quickly and recklessly, the number of people with COVID-19 is skyrocketing. The citizens of the Commonwealth deserve better than risking the lives of those most vulnerable among us. It's really simple. As a person of faith, I am taught to love my neighbor as myself. In the case of this pandemic, that means wearing a mask and social distancing when I am out in public. It's a matter of faith, and it's a matter of liberty and justice for all. The gift of life is precious and scared, so why would I risk someone else's life just because I don't want to wear a mask?
