The simple fact, as told by scientists (who are the people to listen to when discussing viruses and public health), is that wearing masks reduces the spread of COVID-19. It's not just old people or the immunocompromized who are dying from this disease (although that should be reason enough), but normally healthy people too. At worst, it's an inconvenience to everyone. At best, this saves people's lives. We handle minor inconveniences every day. What's one more?
