I fully support the new regulation. I am a senior citizen with several disablities. I frequent the state parks and would be a more frequent visitor if I could carry a firearm for protection against predators as the law enforcement officers are not always there when you need them.

 

 I am asking for a hearing on allowing for the open carry of handguns State Forests.  That would bring State Forests into compliance with a formal opinion (08-043) published in September 2008 by the Virginia Attorney General.

 

I am a certified NRA instructor and I vote in every election.
