I support the new regulation however I hope there is a hearing on allowing for the open carry of handguns State Forests. Open carry needs to be allowed for our safety. Doing so would not only be safe but it would bring forests in Virginia into compliance with a formal opinion (08-043) published in September 2008 by the Virginia Attorney General.
