When I see such a sensible guidance as this, I must support it. On numerous occasions, the AmericanPsychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association have both come out against such so-called “therapies” that find their basis in one primary concept: that something is wrong with those who are members of sexual or gender minorities. This concept, over the last several decades, has seen a growing body of literature that actively disproves it. Moreover, such efforts “represent a significant risk of harm by subjecting individuals to forms of treatment which have not been scientifically validated and by undermining self-esteem when sexual orientation fails to change” (APA, 2013). 

bearing this in mind, I strongly and unequivocally support all guidances that consider conversion therapy to be harmful
