The deterrent affect of thousands of concealed carry permit holders cannot be measured but most mass killings take place in places where leagal weapons carrry is prohibited.  Concealed carry by trained law abiding permit holders should only be prohibited  in the same places as law inforcement officers are and for the same reasons.
