Training hours for cooperative school parents

To whom this may concern,

Please revise the drastic increase in training hours for cooperative school parents. This puts an undue burden on families trying to play an active role in their children’s education.

We personally chose a cooperative preschool to partake in our daughters early school years. We wanted to be able to witness her first experience in a classroom and see her grow and learn. We have gained so much knowledge from her teachers in how to guide our daughter. We learned ways to resolve disagreements and conflicts together and teach her to be a kind and caring person with her school friends. We believe this would have not been that easy in a traditional preschool environment without parent participation. We have two more kids we plan on sending to our cooperative preschool. This might not be possible for us if the training hours are drastically increased. Thank you for your kind consideration, Patrizia Maness, Overlee Preschool Parent
