22VAC40-185-40   M.   The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessable to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions.  This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present. 

I would like to see this amended to allow posting children's allergy list in an area clearly visable to all staff and not kept confidential (hiden) as long as center has parent's written permission to do so.  I completely understand the severity of food allergies.  I am allergic to over 10 different foods.  I think we should be doing everything we can to place allergy lists clearly visable to all care givers.
