I strongly support enacting legislation that would make permanent Gov. McAuliffe's ban on firearms in public facilities. As a Vietnam veteran who has used firearms for their intended purpose, I feel there are far too many guns in our society today, and our citizens are less safe as a result.  Common sense leads me to feel that this is a sensible restriction and may well make our public servants somewhat safer than they would be without this restriction.
