I oppose the restriction of defensive weapon carry -- anywhere, anytime.  I have the utmost respect for our state and local law enforcement officers, but they can not be everywhere all the time. As a citizen of this state, I have the right to defend myself, but this restriction takes away my ability to do so. I am not advocating that everybody carry, but the possibility of someone in the crowd being able to fight back might be enough to discourage a criminal.  Mass shootings occur in areas where weapons are restricted -- where the crowd can not return fire. Criminals feel safe where they are the only ones with weapons. I do not want the criminals to feel safe
