Strongly Opposed

I strongly oppose this legislation.

It is a definite overreach, especially with extending to properties rented or controlled by Federal agencies.  If you look at statistic, you will not find ones that show concealed handgun permit holders committing crimes in these locations and thereby being a threat needing addressing.  This legislation is taking away a right from law-abiding citizens and trying to make them criminals.  Even now the signage for the temporary order wasn't easily visible until already inside enabling an unknowing person to violate the order without even knowing.

What statistics do show is gun free zones do not stop criminals, just look at the statistics on mass shooting.  This legislation will not make anyone safer and will just criminalizes the normal behavior of law-abiding citizens.
