I am very much in favor of banning firearms in state owned or leased buildings.  As a university professor, I am senstitive to the heightened risk of firearm usage when students in my classroom have guns.  Also, it brings up a question of how students who disagree with lesson material or perform in the class are dealt with - I will give an "A" to any belligerent student even if they are failing the class in order to minimize the risk of firearm usage.
