I am writing to express my support for the extension of Executive Order 50. I believe it is a common sense gun control measure to prevent dangerous people from bringing loaded firearms into state owned properties. There is no conceivable reason any rational member of the public would need to bring weapons into a courthouse, a public meeting, or a government office. Public security is enhanced and it would be very alarming and frightening to know that persons were both bringing loaded firearms into State owned buildings and that such behavior was permissible and encouraged. Thus, I support Executive Order 50. Thank you.
