Gun free zones make easy targets for criminals

The legislation pushed on state employees to relinquish their second amendment rights at the door of their workplace is an open invitation for criminals and/or terrorists to walk right in. Who is going to stop them? No one has any way to defend themselves, so they are easy targets. The shooter in the movie theater several years ago chose that particular theater specifically because it was a gun-free zone. If someone in the theater had been armed, many lives would have been saved.

The Governor has armed protection. Why can't the state employees have the same? In order to obtain a Concealed Carry Permit you must pass a backround check and be trained in the use of your weapon. Does he not trust his employees to act responsibly??
