I strongly oppose this regulation

I oppose this regulation for the following reasons:

1. Only the General Assembly has the authority, subject to the Virginia and U.S Constitutions, to control the possession and use of firearms.

2. This is an attempt at backdoor legislation by the Governor, an abuse of executive power. The governor has no authority to make a regulation, and then veto a law passed by the General Assembly that nullifies that regulation. That would essentially give the governor legislative power.

3. Creating more gun-free zones does not protect people, it puts them at more risk. People willing to do harm to others pay no attention to rules prohibiting guns.
