New rules for weapons/permits.

The 2nd Amendment was designed to protect the citizens against a government which could (and has) run amuck.  Our founders were keenly aware that the new government could very well end badly if the people in the government desired more for themselves and in turn required more of the people they were supposed to serve.  Jefferson said that it was our "duty" to get fight against these despots because they would eventually destroy the very freedoms they (the founders) had fought to gain.  However, with these freedms comes responsibility on the part of the citizen.  This new regulation seems very much like the continuation of a drive to totally end private gun ownership.  Isn't this what Hitler did in the early days of his Third Reich?
