The abrupt decision to stop recognizing concealed carry permits from other states, specifically Delaware, where my husband and I reside, is a slap in the face for us as law-abiding citizens. We have both gone through an extensive background check, completed a thorough gun safety/training class, and invested our time and money into the ability to protect ourselves and our young son, should the need arise. Needless to say, we will not be spending our hard earned money in the state of Virginia and instead look into other states as alternatives for our vacation.
