First, no, I don't support this. It's crazy. It's a non-solution in search of a problem. Disarming law-abiders, who are the only ones likely to actually follow this crazy regulation, does not help anything. The bad folks certainly won't follow it.
Second, both shootings in Paris, and the Navy Yard, and Fort Hood, should show how dangerous gun-free zones really are. The terrible tragedy at Virginia Tech eight years ago should've shown how dangerous it is to have an unarmed, defenseless population if evil should strike.
Third, the Governor gets to keep his armed bodyguards while he's in state agencies, but the rest of us don't. What's up with that double-standard?
Fourth, there is no "emergency". I'm not aware of this rash of law-abiders going around to state agencies and shooting people like the Governor apparently wishes to either state or imply.
This regulation should not be approved, and for that matter, the "emergency" regulation should be withdrawn.
And by the way, please extend the comment period for another 30 days.
