This regulation makes all Virginia citizens LESS safe!

As a state employee, I'm opposed to this regulation.

Terrorists, criminals, and the the mentally ill people wanting to do harm to innocent people, will happily ignore this regulation to reach their goals.

The citizens of Virginia should be allowed to defend their lives, at all times. Please look at the recent terrorist shooting in San Bernardino CA. if you need proof that this regulation is a step in the wrong direction.

1) It was a gun free zone

2) The police were nearby and on the sceen within 5 minutes, but the carnage was already done, and the terrorists were already gone.

We have had no shootings in state agencies and this prohibition on those with a concealed handgun permit, some of whom have active and ongoing threats to their lives, is entirely without any justification and needlessly and recklessly endangers innocent lives.

Importantly the Governor has no authority for this regulation. If the General Assembly wanted the Governor to have such power, they would have granted it to him explicitly, as is required constitutionally.

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
