This ban puts state employees and citizens at risk.

I would like to start by saying that I have been a democratic voter all of my life but actions such as this one are driving me away. There was a time that I thought that gun control was the answer as well, then I really looked into the issue, researched the stats, and changed my mind.

Barring law abiding citizens from exercising their natural right to self defense is senseless and dangerous. Criminals, terrorists, and psychopaths will do what they want, regardless of the law - so how/why do you think that further restrictions for legal carriers will do any good? It's just that simple.

I am a responsible gun owner, I train, I avoid trouble, and I am not alone. With close to 400,000 permits out there, there are tens of thousands of others just like me who believe in self defense, and for some of us, the defense of others. If I am around when some scumbag starts hurting innocent people, I'd like to be able to do more than just plead, pray, or run.
