A Democrats Opinion

As a citizen, female, Violent crime victim I want to take this opportunity to share how ashamed and embarrassed I am that the party my husband and I have always voted for and supported would have the audacity to try to FORCE THROUGH what is tantamount to an infringement on both national and state constitutionl rights. I imagine that the response to this will be overwhelmingly negative as it should be, however perhaps staffers of the Governor ought to also consider the long term ramifications of this action and how it will undoubtedly impact future elections, partisan interaction, citizen trust and faith and ultimately the health of the party. I join my husband in clearly saying that the continued attempts to push this through and or future attempts to create laws by this method will absolutely result in my actions at the ballot box. I will say as a side note that while if it becomes law we will unhappily comply, do expect us to financially support activity that works to reverse this atrocity. I encourage others to avoid making threats or being obscene or rude. Use this venue to clearly and overwhelmingly send a responsible law abiding message.
